DAY ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN - Painted Lavender stamp set with Perennial Lavender Designer Series Papers

The 'to list' is at the ready and I will be making an early start on it today.

Hubby is still not 100% and its the last day of his antibiotics.  We are wondering if its the tablets that are not making him feel too good.  We shall see in a few days time and if he is no better, we shall return to see the doctor.  We moved doctors about a year ago and it was the best thing we did.  We are so happy with the new practice and they are so thorough with everything.  I think we are the lucky ones that can call in a morning, get through and get to see the doctor on the same day.

I feel as though I can take on the world today but I wont.  I will just work through my list bit by bit and get lots of ticks by the end of the day.  Mr. weatherman said we wont be having any rain today so that is a bonus.

This is the peony that mum got for us ten years ago.  It has been replanted twice and it has even moved house.  It didnt flower for three years and I think it was because it didnt like the move.  But I have been lucky enough to take a photo of it each year, with hubby.  It is superb this year and the flowers are so big.

You may have to click on the photo to get a clear image.  Mr. Blogger is not showing things too clearly at the moment for some reason and I am certainly not technical enough to discover the reason why.

I had another play with the Painted Lavender stamp set and the pretty Perennial Lavender papers.  I am so pleased that both the stamp set and the papers will be available in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue.

I stamped the image on Very Vanilla card and the panels all have the pretty Designer Series Paper.  The card base is Highland Heather.  I don have too much of the DSP letft, opps.  The Brushed Brass Butterfly is back again, I am sure you know by now how much I like those.

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday no matter what you are up to.  Thank you so much for having a read.  Tracey x

Tuesday

DAY ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN - Hills of Tuscany, Crafting Day/Catalogue Launch and St. George's Day

Good morning and Happy St. Georg's Day.  Do you think you will be slaying any dragons today?

What an extremely busy start to the week I had yesterday.  It was lovely, just busy.  It started with a brilliant morning crafting with friends.  We made 4 cards and had a great time.  The lemon cake was very lemony.    After a late lunch and a tidy up I went off to meet some friends for a bit of a stroll.  Not the easiest thing for me to do but it was so nice being in the fresh air.  I can certainly recommend it.

The 'to do' list is already written for today, quite a lot of birthdays and special birthday coming up in May so I will be getting the cards sorted for those.

Mum is off to the hospital today.  I mentioned a while ago that she has more skin cancer so she is off to see the consultant and to plan for her operation to remove it.  She isnt doing too well at the moment and this week she has an appointment every day with someone from the medical profession either at hospital or home.  Fingers crossed she can cope with it all.  It is her first time with Ambulance Transportation.  She should have had this appointment two weeks ago but the transportation never turned up!! Fingers crossed.

I also hope to be getting a few bits prepared for a lovely day that we have planned for 5th May.

Do you fancy coming along?  It would be lovely to see you if you do.  The day is all planned but you know what happens to me and my plans but, we have to make a start somewhere.

You may have to click on the image above so that you can read it a little easier. Just let me know what time you hope to be there as space in limited.  I am so excited to be able to hold this event.

I had another play with a stamp set called Hills of Tuscany and this is a rather 'moody' card.  I havent put a sentiment on it yet, I am just waiting for the right occasion.

I started off with the sky in Pool Party ink and put the sun/moon in the space in the clouds.

Next came the house, which is two seperate stamps one being the structure of the house and the other being the roof.  I dont always get the alignment 100% but I dont think it matters too much.  The house then had to be grounded and I created a bit of an incline (hill) at the side of the house for the trees to go on.  There are two sets of trees which is lovely as one is taller than the other set.  I added a bit more green/grass areas and put in red little dots (another one of the stamps) to look like flowers but it didnt quite work out that way.  Love this card and it wont be long before the stamp set is out again.

I thought I would show you this, something I made as a refrence that I shall keep in the stamp set.

This set will retire at the end of the month or sooner, if the stocks run out.  If you would like me to order a set for you, to collect from The Craft Room please, do let me know.  If you are not quite local and would like to order this yourself, click on the image below and put Hills of Tuscany in the search bar.  If you get stuck, just get in touch with me, my details are at the end of this post.

Thursday

DAY ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHT - Painted Lavender and colourful flowers

Good morning and brrrrr, it is so cold in Derby this morning.  I see the cars on the street will need a little de-icing.

I have been catching up on lots of little things but not over doing it.  Started to try and walk a few extra steps each day but not doing too well with it.  There just never seems to be enough hours in the day.

Lots of time spent in the garden these days, in between the rain showers.  The lawns have lots of moss in them and hubby has been treating them.  This of course means raking out the moss when it dies as it turns black.  Its a hard job but so worth it.  The rain and the sunshine have brought out lots of lovely flowers.

I have a lot of pots and plants in all of them.  This year we are going through each pot, checking the earth (soil) and the plants.  Some pots have cracked, some of the plants have died but hopefully by the end of the month, we shall have things looking quite nice.  We do have to reduce the amount of pots and the plants in the garden as it does take up so much time.  Fortunately we have a greenhouse so we grow a lot from seed which saves us a fortune and gives us the pleasure of knowing 'we grew that'.

Of course I have also been spending time in the craft room, I do enjoy spending time each day in there.   This morning I have to spend a couple of hours putting everything away as I did get this out, that out and left them out.  Do you create a mess when you craft?

This what I have been playing with.  The stamp set is called Painted Lavender.  First of all I cut out a large die from the Perennial Postage dies and masked it off around the edges.  The first couple of times I did this, the tape stuck to the border which spoilt the card but I managed to find the correct tape, in the end and it turned out just the way I hoped.

I used the stamp set in different purples, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Orchid Oasis.  The leaves were stamped in Old Olive.  I then used the blending brushes to go over the whole image, Highland Heather at the bottom and Balmy Blue at the top.   The sentiment is from Sentimental Park stamp set.  I have added a list of all the products used at the bottom of this post.  This was inspired by a fellow demonstrator called Jenny McCormac who helped me so much get back into creating again.

Next week there is a card making get together if you would like to come along.  There are a couple of places available.  Do get in touch with me if you fancy this.

Are you free for an hour or two on Sunday 5th May?  Do you fancy joining us in the Craft Room?  You may have to click on the image below to make it a bit bigger to read.
